Post-mortem of K'taka MLA's wife to be conducted
The post-mortem of a Karnataka MLA's wife, who was found dead in Delhi, will be conducted on Monday.
Padmapriya, the 35-year-old wife of BJP MLA Raghupathy Bhat and a mother of two children, had been missing from Udipi since June 10.
The Karnataka police was trying to trace her, when her body was found hanging in a hotel room, in the capital's Dwarka area.
The police claim she had committed suicide, while initial reports suggest she could have been poisoned. Padmapriya had left Udupi on June 10 for her parent's home in Karnad, when she went missing.
Padmapriya's car was found abandoned off the Udipi-Mangalore highway with her keys, cash, mobile and jewellery still inside it.
She allegedly came to Delhi with a contractor from the area.
Padmapriya's husband arrived in Delhi on Sunday evening and her brother and mother have arrived as well.
The Karnataka Home Minster, who is the district in charge of Udipi, was already in the capital and he is also helping out with the case.
